Day 1 18/6/11
Well, here we go again, another trip planned but this time my daughter Carly has decided to tag along on the old CD200. She passed her test about 10 days ago and is now up for the challenge of the Portugal and Picos de Europe trails. I promised that I wouldn’t mention that she crashed it on her first outing so I’m saying nothing. Anyway, that’s all I got to say about that.
I sorted the bikes out best I could in the time I had, we sorted ourselves out and set off to go to Nottingham as we were staying at Ians place as its 50 miles closer to Plymouth from his house than from ours. Carly did manage to get stressed out packing her stuff and I had to go and fetch her dummy from the other side of the road but we got sorted eventually.
Had a nice and easy run down to Ians place, checking both bikes as we went alongfor any noises etc, but all was just swell. Had some snap at Ians, shared a bottle of wine then went to bed around midnight as we were getting up early for the run to Plymouth in the morning. Ian managed to set his clock wrong and ended up waking at 4am instead of 5am.
